Questions.
Is Tilewise safe to install?
Yes. Every download is signed by us and notarized by Apple, which checks it for malicious software. Tilewise doesn't need System Integrity Protection turned off, never asks for your password, and has no account or tracking.
Why does it need Accessibility permission?
macOS only lets apps move and resize other apps' windows with Accessibility permission. Tilewise uses it for exactly that. It never reads the contents of your windows, records your screen, or logs your keystrokes.
Why isn't Tilewise on the Mac App Store?
Every App Store app must run in Apple's sandbox, which blocks apps from moving other apps' windows, so window managers can't work there. Buying direct also means more of the price goes toward making Tilewise better.
What happens when the trial ends?
Tilewise puts your windows back to normal and stops tiling until you buy a licence. Nothing is left in a strange state, and your settings are kept for when you unlock it.
Will it work with my setup?
Tilewise needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later and works on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, with one or several displays. Turn off other window managers while you use it; the welcome guide warns you if one is running.
How do I move my licence to a new Mac?
A licence works on up to 3 Macs. To free one up, open Settings → License on the old Mac and choose Deactivate This Mac.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. See Support.
